offered for summer session:

THEATRE GAMES (Ages 4-7)  45 minutes  - Graham

This class introduces the core skills of acting in a playful and engaging way. In our 45-minute weekly sessions, we learn how to warm up body and voice, we play structured games that foster listening skills, teamwork and confidence, and even create short plays. Games touch on imagination, sense memory, character, improvisation, and stagecraft.  We've modified our curriculum to suit the zoom format, incorporating puppets, stuffed animals, and imaginary journeys in our zoom-ing spaceships! (class size limited to 6)

ACTING/IMPROV (Ages 8 and up) one hour - Graham

In these fast paced and fun 60 minute classes, kids jump into improv exercises that build imagination, communication and teamwork skills.  Students learn to listen, collaborate with their peers and create their own improvised plays. We've modified our curriculum to suit the zoom format, using our individual zoom frames as puppet stages, mirrors, alternate realities and more. A great way for kids to use their imagination to get out of the house while staying home! (class size limited to 6)

ADULT ACTING CLASS/WORKOUT  2 1/2 hours  (by interview/audition) - Elise

Whether you're a working pro looking to stay in shape or a newer actor just learning the ropes, this class will challenge you to do honest, personal work grounded in strong text analysis. Students bring their own audition style scenes each week and work with another student as reader, just as they would at an in-person on-camera audition.  (class size limited to 6)

returning this fall (if we aren't back in person!)

MUSICAL THEATRE  (Ages 9 and up)  one hour - Kate

This class explores the musical theatre genre by working on musical combinations virtually. Kate will lead the kids in a song and dance routine that they can practice at home. She'll also touch on some other aspects of performing, including how to prepare for a musical theatre audition, how to create a resume, and more! This a large group class and should be loads of fun :)

FILMMAKING 1  (Ages 9 and up)  one hour - Elise

We will learn about concepts of shot composition, storytelling, editing, camera placement and more. Kids who sign up for this should know that this class requires study and working on filmed projects outside of class. Each week we discuss a new aspect of filmmaking and then they will complete an assignment during the week to explore this concept. Kids will upload their work for everyone to watch and review together during the next class.  Kids need to have access to their own device (camera or tablet) that has both enough storage on for short filmed sequences and a simple editing app such as imovie. Kids need to be independent and tech/savvy enough to complete these projects at home after receiving instruction or have an adult willing to assist.  Please reach out if you are unsure if this is a good fit! (class size limited to 6)

ACTING 2  (Ages 8-10)  one hour - Graham

This class gives young actors an opportunity to bring their acting skills to scripted material. Kids will receive scripts either online or in the mail. They'll discuss acting technique and and will work on acting exercises, short monologues and paired scenes online.  (class size limited to 6)

ACTING 3  (Ages 11-12)   one hour - Graham

This class gives young actors an opportunity to bring their acting skills to scripted material. Kids will receive scripts either online or in the mail. They'll discuss acting technique and and will work on acting exercises, short monologues and paired scenes online. Expectation for this slightly older class include memorization and prep during the week so that scenes are ready to work during the class hour. (class size limited to 6)

ACTING for TEENS (Ages 13+)   one hour - Elise

This class takes the study of acting to the next level with higher level of difficulty scenes and monologues. In this class, we'll also begin to explore on-camera acting and auditioning, and will work on scenes from tv/film as well as from classic plays. (class size limited to 6)

We've limited most class sizes to 6 to accommodate the Zoom format, but not to worry! If the one you want has filled, we are happy to open up a second class if there's interest  :)
